Raising grave concern over the confusion surrounding the fate of the eight workers trapped inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel for the last seven days, BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised the unsettling amount of misinformation about the whereabouts of the missing workers.

He said each Minister seemed to have their own version of events. One MLA claimed that bodies were discovered, while another questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not sent his condolences. Another Minister insisted that no one was alive. This conflicting information has led to frustration and anger

among the public, he said.

He asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to take responsibility and release an official statement.

“Mr CM, can you take some responsibility and at least release an official statement? The drama has gone to ridiculous levels already. There is not even a single person acting with responsibility. There is not even a single official press release so far. Is this the honour extended by your government to the workers? Is this the value given for lives in your government? That is why, I prefer to say this is not a government, but just a circus,” he posted on X.
