Smita Sabharwal gets charge of irrigation department

Smita Sabharwal, Secretary to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, has been assigned full additional charge (FAC) of the Irrigation and Command Area Development (I&CAD) department until further notice. This responsibility comes as Dr. Rajat Kumar, the Special Chief Secretary to the I&CAD department, is set to retire on November 30.

In addition to her current



role, Sabharwal has been appointed FAC for the positions of Director, Relief and Rehabilitation (RR), and Land Acquisition (LA) until further orders. Concurrently, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari has been granted full additional charge as the Secretary to the Environment, Science, and Technology (ES&T) department until further notice.
