The State government on Thursday assured the cab drivers of Telangana State Cabs Association (TSCA) to find a solution to their problems in next couple of days.
The members of the association led by Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for MAUD K T Rama Rao on Thursday. The TSCA members told the Minister that the managements of Ola and Uber were depriving them of their money as a result of that they were unable to repay the loans they had taken to buy vehicle.
Meanwhile, the drivers alleged that the management was trying to lure the drivers by offering more incentives. Kishore (name changed), a driver, said the management had sent a
message on his phone, offering additional incentive of Rs 2,000 if he made least two trips till 4 pm on Thursday.
The management said the drivers would get more revenue if they would make more trips as usual, but Rs 2,000 would be additional incentive for the day. The message further said, “What are you waiting for? Come online and do trips today.”
The management wants to show to the government that there was no impact of the strike. “Somebody may take up the trips for the additional Rs 2,000 and this would mean the driver would be online and a green spot kept be glowing on the map and the management would show to the government that so many are on duty,” TSCA leaders said.
