Special hawker zone introduced in Hyderabad

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has introduced special hawker zones in Hyderabad. The zones, introduced on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, will have specific timings for street vendors at specific areas. About 6,000 street vendors have been identified so far



across the state Capital. 

Identity cards have been issued to all the recognised street vendors besides providing training in skill upgradation. The Street Vending policy will prohibit vending in red zones while allowing free vending at green zones.
