Special Prayers at Mecca Masjid Mark Milad-un Nabi

As part of  Milad Un Nabi celebrations, Mecca Masjid Imam Rizwan Qureshi, Kathib performed a special Qutba at the Makkah Masjid near Charminar on Thursday. Imam Rizwan Qureshi also performed special prayers for Prophet Muhammad, in which over 5,000 Muslims participated.

"Milad-Un -Nabi is a very auspicious day for all Muslims and we have been following this tradition of Qutba and dua for the past 100 years at Makkah Masjid," MA Khadeer Siddiqui, superintendent of Makkah Masjid,



Charminar and Royal Welfare Mosque, Public Gardens, said told 

Following the Qutba and duas, the main door of the Makkah Masjid was covered by a parda (cloth). Meanwhile, the Muslims are celebrating Milad-Un -Nabi in a festive note in different parts of the old city by preparing special foods and lighting their houses. They have however refrained from taking out rallies in the city, as it is their regular practice on the day.
