Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has stated that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has to withdraw his support to the Narendra Modi government if he really wanted special status to his State.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, VH said that nothing will be materialized if Chandrababu addresses a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reminded that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, who was proposed special status to Andhra Pradesh state during division of the state, addressed a letter to the Prime Minister regarding special status to the Andhra Pradesh state.
Asking Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, who spoke a lot on special status to Andhra Pradesh state during division, as to why keeping mum now, VH opined that Andhra Pradesh would get special status easily in case
Chandrababu withdraws his support to Modi government.
Ridiculing YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’ statement that Palamuru, Dindi projects were illegal, VH asked Jagan whether the latter forgot his father late YS Rajasekhar Reddy constructed Pothireddypaadu project, which was illegal and did injustice to Telangana. He said that YSR mentally and politically harassed late P Janardhan Reddy (PJR), who fought against Pothireddypaadu project.
Stating that Chandrababu and KCR, who were learnt defections from YSR, were encouraging defections, VH said that YSR encouraged defections when he was alive.
Referring to Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan’s twitter comments that the BJP would meet Congress fate in case it failed to provide special status to Andhra Pradesh state, VH suggested Pawan Kalyan to speak while knowing the facts as to what Congress party did for the sake of special status to Andhra Pradesh state. He advised Pawan Kalyan would become a loose character politically in case he speaks as he wished and it was good for him to do his works.
