Low-cost carrier SpiceJet will start two new daily direct flights from Hyderabad to Bangkok and Guwahati, starting from October 10 this year.
SpiceJet Associate Vice President and Head of Liason (flight operations) CS Palani made the formal announcement in the presence of IT and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao, during a meeting at the latter’s camp office here on Wednesday.
SpiceJet is said to be the only Indian carrier to provide direct flight connectivity between Hyderabad and Bangkok. Earlier,
passengers from the city had to take a connecting flight from Delhi while travelling to Bangkok.
The airline also announced promotional fares of Rs 10,001 from Hyderabad to Bangkok, and Rs 8,316 for the return. Similarly, the flight to Guwahati will cost Rs 4,286 and the return flight will cost Rs 4,148. The airline will deploy its Boeing aircraft on both the routes.
