The Hyderabad City Police stated that the Sri Ramanavami Shoba Yatra procession ended on a peaceful note on Thursday under the supervision of senior officers along with other departments.
The police further thanked the technology which helped in the live monitoring of the procession, crowd movement and traffic flow.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand visited the entire procession stretch in the morning and encouraged the committee members to start their procession early. The procession said to have started at 1.45 pm.
The processions led by Anand Singh and MLA Raja Singh passed through the Mangalhat, Begum Bazaar Chatri, Siddiamber Bazar, Gowliguda, Koti areas of the city, which then reached the Hanuman Vyayam
Shala.
The entire event was watched closely by the officials of Road Transport Corporation (RTC), Roads and Buildings (R&B), Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI), Fire, Electricity from the Joint Command Control Center in Andhra Pradesh’s Basheer Bagh. Commissioner CV Anand also monitored the live drone footage.
CCTV footage, and radio communications gave timely instructions to the field officers, the police said.
Nearly thousands of police personnel were deployed for the proper arrangements in sensitive areas.
“The procession was completed peacefully with the cooperation of organisers, other government departments, devotees and the general public,” said Commissioner Anand.
