A high-level delegation from French company Merio led by its CEO Remi Plenet met industries and IT minister D. Sridhar Babu on Friday to discuss the company’s plans of building new technologies in Hyderabad.
The minister assured necessary support and help for this unique and first of its kind project in India.
The delegation which is on a visit to India has met top officials of the defence ministry and defence establishments and discussed their plans to develop advanced gimbals along with HC Robotics Pvt Ltd.
The team from HC Robotics included CEO Venkat Chundi and director Dr Radhakishore. The French team included Matthieu Descours, technical manager, and Noémie Lancien, sales manager.
Meanwhile, at a review meeting on the IT sector, Sridhar Babu directed
officials to devise a road map for the expansion of the sector across the state. He stressed on the need to expand IT to Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
At the meeting attended by principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and senior officials, Sridhar Babu asked officials to come up with proposals for setting up IT parks in Hyderabad and other major towns such as Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad.
Sridhar Babu said that IT officials should work in coordination with the industry and ensure that Telangana records the highest growth in IT exports and job creation in the country. He said the state government was committed to encouraging IT sector on a large scale and would come up with a policy to ensure comprehensive development of the IT sector.
