A state-level softball competition began at Tilak stadium in Bellampalli town on Saturday. Bellampalli ACP Ravi Kumar, who was the chief guest of the event, formally inaugurated competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kumar advised the players to take both win and loss equally. He opined that sports could help one become mentally and physically strong. He stated
participants could find new friends with the help of the sports. He was all praise for organisers for hosting the event in the coal belt town.
Members of erstwhile Adilabad district softball association said that 320 players belonging to several parts of Telangana were taking part in the competitions. They stated that elaborate arrangements were made for smooth conduct of the event.
