Senior police officials continued to carry out inspections in different parts of Hyderabad city and suburbs to monitor enforcement of the lockdown. At some places, they stopped those moving around on the roads and enquired the purpose of being outside their home.
The police once again appealed to the people not to venture out unless very necessary and unavoidable.
In the old city, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force teams patrolled and strictly enforced the lockdown in Bhavaninagar and Mirchowk police station limits. The team seized vehicles of the violators and handed them over to the local police station for further
action.
The set of instructions included allowing free movement of hospital staff including doctors and paramedical staff, relatives of patients, and Thalasemmia patients. They were also asked to allow those engaged with e-commerce businesses including food delivery or supply and delivery of goods.
At the same time, the policemen were told to identify persons travelling without valid pass or reason and initiate action accordingly. At different junctions the police were found seizing vehicles of persons who were moving on the roads allegedly without any purpose and booked cases against them.
