Student Killed in Road Mishap at Katedan

A 22-year-old student died on the spot while four others were injured in a road mishap in Katedan at about 1.30 am on Monday, Mailardevpally police said. The  victims were returning home via Katedan from a function in Durganagar.

Police said the driver lost control after a stray dog came on the road. The vehicle rammed



into a divider, ricocheted and hit an electricity pole and overturned. Syed Omar Nihal, who was sitting on the rear seat, died on the spot, said Mailardevpally sub-inspector Y.D. Rayudu. The other four persons suffered critical injuries and are being treated in a private hospital in Mailardevpally.
