In view of the prevailing extreme heat wave conditions, Telangana government has declared holidays from Saturday (April 16) for all schools functioning under the government, local bodies and private managements. Earlier, the vacation was scheduled from April 24.
An official release issued by the Director of School Education here
on Thursday, said that the schools would be reopened on June 13 for the new academic year 2016-17.
After reviewing the advisories issued by Disaster Management Department on heat waves, the summer vacation has been rescheduled, the release said. Feedback from District Collectors and parents was also taken into consideration, it added.
