Chief Minister
K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday instructed officials to set up a super
specialty hospital along with the Health University in Warangal and four super
specialty Hospitals in Hyderabad by the end of this year.
The Chief Minister
also instructed the officials concerned to shift Warangal Jail, Hyderabad Race
Course and Chanchalguda Jail in the city to different places. “Funds for the
establishment of hospitals should be allocated in this Budget,” he said, at a
review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan on the establishment of super specialty
hospitals and shifting of jails and Hyderabad Race Course.
The Chief Minister
wanted the Warangal Central Jail premises which is adjacent to Kakatiya Medical
College to be converted into a single campus wherein the super specialty
hospital,

and maternity block can be constructed. He wanted the officials to prepare the
proposals in this regard. The Central jail should be shifted to the outskirts
of Warangal City after making alternative arrangements for the hospitals.
Warangal MGM Hospital should also be developed, he said.The Chief Minister also
wanted the shifting of Chanchalguda Jail and Hyderabad Race Courses so that the
residential educational institutions proposed by the government and other
public utility institutions could come up in the premises.

Secretary S P Singh, senior officials Rajiv Trivedi, Tiwari, Ramakrishna Rao, S
Narsing Rao, Kaloji Health University Vice Chancellor Prof Karunakar, DGP
Anurag Sharma, City Commissioner of Police P Mahender Reddy and others
participated in the meeting.
