Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities visits Makkah Masjid to oversee the work

Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare and Ms. N.R. Visalakshi, Director of Archeology visited Makkah Masjid along with the local municipal corporator but they could not tell the date of commencement of repair works of Makkah Masjid.

It may be mentioned that water is leaking from the roof of Makkah Masjid and the plaster of the ceiling also fell



down. Repair works to the building of the graves of Asif Jahi kings also needs attention.

Mr. Mohammed Abdul Qadeer Siddiqui, Superintendent of Makkah Masjid was also present on this occasion. Mr. A.K. Khan, Advisor to Govt. on Minority Affairs handed over the details of repair works to be undertaken for Makkah Masjid to the Director of Archeology.
