Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) chief M Kodandaram on Wednesday decided to launch another big programme `Koluvula Ki Kotlata' (fight for jobs) on October 31. T-JAC will hold a public meeting demanding filling up of two lakh vacancies in various government departments.
Interestingly, T-JAC had called for a similar programme in February this year by the name `Nirudyogula Nirasana Rally' (unemployed youth rally) at Indira Park. But the police department rejec ted permission and said that they would permit public meetings only in the outskirts like Nagole or
Miyapur.Subsequently , dharnas and rallies were permanently banned at Dharna Chowk in Indira Park.
“The state government claimed to have initiated the process of filling up about 8,900 teacher posts through TPSC, but how can they go ahead without resolving the zonal system issues?“ Kodandaram asked.
Sources said that about one lakh youth are expected to attend the meeting. “Last time, police did not permit us to hold a rally at Indira Park and Nizam College. Now, we are scouting for a spot at LB Nagar,“ Kodandaram said.
