The three-day provincial ijtema of the Tablighi Jamaat in Pargi of Vikarabad district will begin today. Nearly 4 lakh Muslims from Telangana State, AP, Karnataka and Maharashtra are likely to participate in the congregation. Preparations for this three-day gathering have been going on for the last six months.
The state government has released Rs.2.45 cr for the arrangements of the congregation on behalf of Wakf Board including Rs.85 lakh for the two temporary ponds set up in the congregation and for
diverting water from the temporary ponds to the ablution houses. Rs.68 lakh have been spent on the pipeline.
Arrangements have been made for the congregation on 180 acres of land in Nematnagar, near Pargi mandal, where the Ijtema will be held on 130 acres while parking facilities have been provided on 50 acres. This land has been given by local farmers for gathering. Large-scale food and ablution arrangements have been made for the gathering.
