A three-day Ijtema of Tablighi Jamaat will be held at Pahadishareef grounds on the Hyderabad city outskirts from April 5 to April 7. About two lakh people are expected to participate in the religious congregation.
Speakers from across the country are scheduled to deliver lectures on various aspects of Islam at the event spread over three days. The temporary venue, a ground spread over about 50 acres, will have arrangements for dining, rest rooms, prayer halls and ablution spaces apart from space for parking.
On Monday, a meeting was organised at the venue by officials of various departments including police, revenue, fire services, power, municipality, TSRTC with organisers of the event.
Mahesh M Bhagwath, Commissioner Rachakonda during the meeting said adequate number of policemen
from various wings would be deployed for safety, security and traffic arrangements.
He asked the organisers to provide about 300 volunteers for the purpose of traffic management and security for the event. Bhagwat said the various wings of the police including traffic, city security wing and law and order would be present for the bandobast. After an inspection of the venue, he suggested limited entry points for safety reasons.
Jalpally Municipality Commissioner, Mohd Saber Ali, said the local authorities would take care of the sanitation at the area by deploying staff at the venue round-the-clock.
The Fire Department officials, who inspected the venue, suggested some more measures and safety equipment to meet any exigencies.
