The TDP-BJP combine is all set to blow the poll bugle for combined poll campaign for the GHMC elections from Nizam college grounds on Tuesday where a mammoth public meeting is planned. According to the TTDP floor leader E Dayakar Rao, TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister for Health JP Nadda would be attending the public meeting.
He said that Naidu would be campaigning for the TDP-BJP candidates for three days from January 27. He further said that the TDP-BJP combine would announce that if voted to power, they would give the post of Deputy Mayor to a Seemandhra person.
Rao said
they would try to win the confidence of the people by explaining to them how they would develop the city and bring funds from the Centre. He alleged that the TRS government has been diverting the funds it got from the Centre for GHMC for other purposes. It has even failed to give fee reimbursement to students, he said.
BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman announced that the TDP-BJP combine had decided to reserve the post of Deputy Mayor for a person of Seemandhra origin in case their alliance wins the GHMC elections.
TDP-BJP combine would release its manifesto for GHMC Elections on January 13.
