Teachers’ photos, details to be displayed in schools to curb irregularities

To strengthen the education system, the government is initiating various measures to check irregularities. To check teachers’ absenteeism, education department authorities have decided to display photographs of teachers in the premises of schools.

Besides irregular attendance, there were incidents of teachers staying away from schools for a long period by hiring



volunteers in their places. To put an end to such practices, officials have decided to display the photographs of teachers to ensure the local people easily identify teachers of their schools.

In this regard, the school education department has issued orders recently. Based on the higher officials’ instructions, head masters have begun efforts to collect photos.
