The Winter Session of State Assembly and Council were adjourned sine die on Wednesday. Later talking to media, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that the winter session of the Assembly had created a history by ensuring functioning of the House for 18 days without interruptions.
Rao said that as many as 16 Bills were passed by the government and there was short discussion on 15 subjects. Earlier the House used to function for a few days and the Opposition always used to
allege that the government did not allow them to speak.
This time the Opposition had got maximum possible time, he said. Harish Rao said that Parliament could not discuss the issue of ‘note ban’ but Telangana Assembly and Council discussed the subject on the very first day.
The government had responded to the questions raised by the Opposition parties. The Leader of the House K Chandrashekar Rao spoke for nine hours and 17 minutes.
