Telangana State Assembly yesterday unanimously passed a resolution against proposed Uranium mining in Nallamala forest area. The state Government has proposed the resolution following an assurance by Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao day before yesterday to the Congress members.
 
The Assembly



urged the Central Government to withdraw proposal of Uranium mining in Nallamala Forest Area in view of the possible threat to the habitation and biodiversity in and around Nallamala due to mining besides public fears of air and water pollution due to Uranium mining.
