The Telangana Legislative Assembly was setting an example to other States in running the proceedings of the House in a democratic manner and holding discussions on several key issues, Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao said here on Friday.
Terming the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) protests in the House as a game plan to participate in demonstrations outside the Assembly, Rao said BJP members were deliberately protesting and wanted to get suspended. He said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government was running the House in an organized manner
and giving the opposition parties much time to express their concerns and point out any shortcomings in governance.
Stating that the Ministers were replying in detail to each and every query raised by opposition members, he said: “If they are convinced with the replies, they can even raise issues after question hour and there is a procedure to it,”
“During the sessions, more than the ruling party, the opposition party was allocated more time. This shows the Telangana Assembly was a role model for others,” said Rao.
