The State Legislative Assembly will see a blend of some new faces and many old faces. As many as 24 first-time legislators will enter the Assembly. The ruling TRS accounts for 15 new MLAs while six are from the Congress, and one each from the TDP and the Forward Block besides a lone independent.
Notable among the newcomers are Lok Sabha members Balka Suman (Peddapalle) and Ch Malla Reddy (Malkajgiri), who won as MLAs from Chennur and Medchal Assembly constituencies, respectively. The other first-timers from the TRS include S Niranjan Reddy (Wanaparthy), P Narendhar Reddy (Kodangal), Chanti Kranthi Kiran (Andole), Mallesh Yadav (Kodad), Muta Gopal (Musheerabad), Kaleru Venkatesh (Amberpet), Dr Anand Mothuku (Vikarabad), B Krishnamohan Reddy
(Gadwal), M Sanjay Kumar (Jagitiyal), K Bhupal Reddy (Nalgonda), N Narendhar (Warangal East), Pylla Shekar Reddy (Bhongir) and Sunke Ravi Kumar (Choppadandi). Patnam Narendhar Reddy is a sitting MLC.
From the Congress, the first-timers are Banoth Haripriya (Yellandu), Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy (Kollapur), K Upender Reddy (Palair), Jajjala Surendar (Yellareddy), Komati Reddy Rajgopal Reddy (Munugode) and Pilot Rohit Reddy (Tandur). Rajgopal Reddy is a sitting MLC.
From the TDP, M Nageshwara Rao (Ashwaraopet) is the first time legislator while Kotukanti Chander (Ramagundam) is a first-timer from All India Forward Bloc. The lone independent first time MLA is Lavudya Ramulu (Wyra).
