State Cabinet has yesterday approved new zonal system in Telangana. The cabinet which met under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan also gave green signal to life insurance cover for farmers in the state. The new life insurance scheme would be of Rs five lakh.
The Cabinet has given its nod for the new zonal system comprising 7 zones and two-multi zones favoured by the chief minister KCR.
According to information the Cabinet also gave its permission for hike in estimation cost of Kaleshwaram project. It also approved to give sanction for posts to be appointed for Telangana
State Farmers Coordination Panel being headed by MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy.
Similarly the Cabinet has offered green signal for setting up a corporation to procure funds for Devadula project and Tupakulagudem projects.
The Cabinet meeting also discussed on Rythu Bandhu Scheme, state formation day celebrations on June 2 and preparation.
Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali, ministers E Rajender, T Harish Rao,KT Rama Rao, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, G Jagadish Reddy, Lakshma Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao and others were present.
