The state cabinet is to meet at 1pm on September 2. This is just a few hours before the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s biggest ever public meeting to be held at Kongara Kalan at Ibrahimpatnam on the city outskirts at 4pm the same day.
The timing of the cabinet meeting is significant as a formal decision, if taken in it, can be conveyed to the people, if the chief minister so
chooses. According to rules, a recommendation for dissolution of the House can be made to the Governor only after a cabinet passes a resolution on it. Chandrasekhar Rao has already made his mind known about possibly going for early elections. He had declared that after the September 2 public meeting, he would even announce names of the TRS candidates for the next polls.
