With the Election Commission of India (ECI) giving permission to hold the Telangana Formation Day celebrations, the authorities have decided to hold a carnival showcasing the culture of the state on the occasion, which will be celebrated on June 2.
The carnival will be held at Tank Bund in the evening showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage. In addition to this, stalls serving cuisines unique to the state, among others will add verve to the ambience. visited Tank Bund on Sunday evening.

Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd, Musharraf Ali Faruqui, CMD, TSSPDCL, and others visited Tank Bund for an inspection on Sunday evening. “We have been instructed by GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose to take up sanitation works and arrange decorative flags,” said a GHMC official. While the cultural department was instructed to ensure participation of artists befitting a carnival-like atmosphere, the energy department will provide a three-phase power supply.
The official Formation Day celebrations will be held at Parade Ground in Secunderabad, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy after his visit to Gun Park paid tributes to martyrs at the Telangana Amaraveerula Stupam.
