In Telangana, cases have been filed in the High Court against 24 elected MLAs who won in the recently held Assembly elections in the state. These cases have been filed by the candidates who lost the election. 30 petitions have been filed relating to 24 Assembly Constituencies against the elected candidates including BRS Working President K Taraka Ramarao and Former Minister Harish Rao challenging their elections.

One of the candidates from Sircilla, K K Mahender Reddy filed a complaint against K Taraka Ramarao alleging that he failed to show his son Himanshu Rao as his



dependent in his affidavit. He also showed a sale deed of a 32-acre plot in the name of Himanshu Rao.

BSP candidate in Siddipet, Chakradhar Goud has filed a petition against the BRS candidate former Minister Harish Rao. BJP candidate E. Rajender filed a petition against P Koushik Reddy of BRS from Huzurabad. Congress candidate Mohd. Azharuddin filed a petition against BRS MLA Gopinath. Similarly, petitions were filed against the elected candidates from Kukatpally, Gadwal, Asifabad, and Patancheru among others.
