Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said there should be a national-level debate on Operation Kagar. He said the government policy on the matter will be announced after the Congress party finalises a decision on Kagar. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with government advisors, called on party senior leader K. Jana Reddy and discussed the Peace Talks Committee’s request on the Maoists’ issue. He informed the media that the Congress government will appoint a Peace Committee for deliberations with Maoists. He said that Jana Reddy and Keshava Rao will discuss within the party about the Maoists

Meanwhile, high tension prevailed in the Karregutta region, situated in the Vajedu and Venkatapuram blocks of Mulugu district, bordering Telangana and Chhattisgarh, as the region had resonated with gunfire for the past few days. This area has been the site of ongoing clashes between Central security forces and Maoists. Local reports say that security personnel are actively conducting combing operations, meticulously searching the thick forests to counter Maoist activities.
