Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together can explore possibilities of utilizing over 5 thousand TMCs of water in Krishna and Godavari rivers, which is currently being wasted.
He was speaking to the media after a cabinet meeting in Hyderabad last evening. He added that the official level discussions will begin on the 27th of this month in Hyderabad and will
continue in Vijayawada. He said, both the governments have decided to work in close cooperation on various other areas.
Mr Rao also announced that the multi-stage lift irrigation project, Kaleswaram will be fully operationalised by next year and that 5 pumping stations will be switched on in the presence of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh chief Ministers on the 21st of this month.
