Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has said the state government will amend the Land Acquisition Act to hike the compensation for acquired land three times more than existing rates. He announced this while addressing a public meeting held as part of Praja Vijayotsavalu (Celebration of Success) in Vemulawada yesterday.
Stating that the land acquisition is a must for development, he said the government is taking care of those
who lost their lands and are suffering due to land acquisition. He said the government has decided to hike the compensation for acquired land three times.
He further said the government is acquiring land thinking that the unemployed will get jobs if industries come for investments. He also criticised the BRS and BJP alleging that they are creating hurdles for political gains.
