In Telangana, the First Additional District and Sessions Judge Court in Nalgonda has pronounced death sentence to an accused in the sensational Hajipur serial killings case.
The verdict came in 10 months after Marri Srinivas Reddy arrested on the charges of killing three minor girls. He was arrested during May last year and a native of Hajipur who is working as a lift mechanic.
Since 2015, Srinivas Reddy raped and murdered three minor girls and dumped their bodies in an
agricultural open well at his agricultural fields on the outskirts of Hajipur village. He lured the girls, who were walking down to their native place Hajipur from Bommalaramaram, offering them a lift on his motorcycle.
Cases were filed against Srinivas Reddy under sections of POCSO Act. During the investigation, the police collected scientific evidences to prove Srinivas Reddy’s involvement in the crime and presented it before the trial court.
