Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka called on Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi yesterday to address pending issues connected to the Naini Block which are crucial for Singareni Coal Collieries Limited for TG’s energy needs.

The Naini Project, allocated to Singareni nearly a decade ago has faced numerous delays due to regulatory and logistical challenges. The deputy Chief Minister went to Odisha to personally discuss these issues with the Odisha Chief Minister. An official release stated that the meeting focused on securing swift approval for the transfer of forest land, a critical step for the project’s



progress. 
 
During the meeting, the Telangana deputy Chief Minister presented a comprehensive request that included the enumeration and removal of trees, the rerouting of high-tension power lines, and land allocation for a proposed power plant by Singareni. 

The Deputy CM emphasized the importance of these steps in ensuring the project’s timely commencement, highlighting the project’s significance for both Telangana and Odisha. The release further said, Odisha Chief Minister responded positively to Telangana’s requests and issued clear directives to all departments to speed up approvals.
