Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will present the state annual budget for 2024-25 in the Assembly today. This will be the first full-fledged budget after the Congress government took over during December last.
The Deputy Chief Minister presented the vote on account budget for the current fiscal in February this year for a total expenditure of 2 lakh 75
thousand crore rupees, with revenue expenditure pegged at over 2 lakh crore rupees and capital expenditure of over 29 thousand crore rupees. The deputy chief minister said he will present a realistic budget, considering the precarious financial condition of the state. It will, however, be interesting to see if the loan waiver scheme gets a separate allocation or not.
