Telangana-Fiber to be turned into private firm

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has decided to establish T-Fiber as a private limited company under the Companies Act 2013.

T-Fiber, also known as Telangana Fiber Grid Project, is the implementing agency of the KCR-government's ambitious project of extending reliable high-speed



broadband connectivity to every household in the state.

Cisco and Nokia have already evinced interest to participate in the project. The duct for the fiber grid project is presently being laid simultaneously along with Mission Bhagiratha pipelines by Rural Water Supply (RWS) department to avoid repeat digging.
