Telangana gears up for Covid-19 vaccination drive to be held from Saturday

Telangana gears up for the COVID-19 vaccination drive to be held from tomorrow. The vaccines have reached the centres identified in various districts and kept ready for distribution to the centres further. The state authorities have identified 1,213 centres across the state to administer COVID vaccine during the first phase.

 

The two indigenous vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin will be used for the same in



the state. The same company’s vaccine will be given in the first and second dose of vaccination for an individual. Health workers including Asha Workers, Anganwadi Staff, medical and health department employees will be administered vaccine first. 

Other frontline warriors including police, security personnel, sanitation workers will be given the next priority.
