The Centre has allocated nine Indian Forest Service (IFS) probationers to Telangana.
Telangana received second highest number of officers after Madhya Pradesh in IFS allocation for 2018 batch. The nine officers are undergoing training and they will join duty from June 2020.
The State government urged the Centre to allocate maximum number of officers by taking into consideration forest and environment protection steps. Continuous efforts made by the
officials from the State yielded results.
The Forest Department officials thanked the Director-General Forest in New Delhi in this regard. Getting nine IFS probationers was an achievement for the government and this would give strength to the department along with the newly recruited Forest Range Officers (FROs), Forest Section Officers (FSOs) and Forest Beat Officers (FBOs), said Principal Chief Conservator of Forests PK Jha.
