The Telangana government has allocated Rs 8 crore for the logistics, accommodation, bookings and other arrangements to conduct GES summit.
Speaking at an event, IT and Industries secretary Jayesh Ranjan said, “For the upcoming GES, we have allocated Rs 8 crore to look after the logistics and other accommodation requirements of the chief guest and delegates. However, this does not include the beautification of city.”
GES will be one of the biggest summits to be held in India and Hyderabad and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will
inaugurate the event. In addition, US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump will be leading the delegation from the US. The summit with a theme of Women Entrepreneurship will see about 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors and speakers from across the globe participate.
The committees set up by the State government will look into aspects of city beautification, transportation, reception, media and security, among others. A delegation from the US government and NITI Aayog will be visiting Hyderabad soon to review the arrangements.
