Warangal: The State government is dedicated to the comprehensive development of villages across the state. To advance development in the agency areas of Mulugu district, the government plans to collaborate with various voluntary organisations, according to Panchayat Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka. Seethakka, on Sunday, alongside District Collector Diwakar, inaugurated a new water tank, community toilets, a shed, and street lights in Nandi Pahad Koya village, Venkatapur mandal, with support from the Nirmana and Adama voluntary organizations.
Seethakka highlighted a recent request from a young girl in Takkellapadu village for a school. Following her intervention, the collector and SP promptly constructed and
inaugurated a new school within 15 days. She emphasised the need for awareness campaigns among residents of remote agency areas regarding the use of toilets and access to clean drinking water to prevent seasonal and communicable diseases.
Seethakka also noted the support from various voluntary organisations during the Covid-19 pandemic in assisting tribal and Adivasi communities in agency areas. The state government prioritizes village development and aims to transform all villages into model gram panchayats, with a separate action plan underway. Successful implementation will depend on the cooperative efforts of both villagers and voluntary organisations, she added.
