The Telangana government has decided to develop a walkway along the Musi corridor on the lines of the one at KBR Park. It has also been decided to develop forest blocks and parks in Hyderabad Metropolitan region.
Municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao and chief secretary SK Joshi held a review meeting with forest and municipal administration officials on Tuesday.The minister said 58,329 hectares of forest land was available in 194
blocks and would be developed following the directions of chief minister.
“Apart from developing parks, special attention would be paid for tourism such as wellness tourism, medicinal tourism, destination tourism and eco-tourism. A special project monitoring unit would be set up for timely completion of the works. Along with forest department, HMDA and GHMC would play key role in works,” the minister said.
