Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has flagged off the 35th Hyderabad Sailing Week in Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad on Friday evening. Coinciding with the 75 years of Country’s Independence, the Governor flagged of 75 sailing boats at a time providing a visual feast to spectators.
Lt Gen TSA Narayanan, Commodore, EME Sailing Association and Vice Commodore Maj Gen JS Sidana and President of
Secunderabad Club R Raghuram Reddy have attended. Speaking on the occasion, the governor said the event like sailing championship will motivate youth and young sailors. Including a couple of Olympic sailors, about hundred sailors from different parts of the country are taking part in the sailing competitions.
The 2021 championship races will continue till 19th of August.
