Telangana Governor C P Radhakrishnan has said the country has ample opportunities to grow to a gross domestic product of 30 trillion dollars by 2047 and asked the youth to play a major role in making the country a developed one. He said the government will provide more support to natural and organic agriculture for further growth.
Delivering the third convocation address at the Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University held in Mulugu in Siddipet district yesterday, the Governor said,
that agriculture is the main source of income for over 70 per cent of rural people in the country and over 82 per cent are small marginal farmers.
He expressed hope that the importance of the horticulture and forestry sectors will increase along with agriculture. The Governor called upon the students to achieve their goals of success. The governor recalled the Central government’s initiatives for improving farmers’ income on the occasion.
