Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan launched the HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum on Thursday virtually.
“As someone who is an ardent advocate of women’s rights, gender parity, women empowerment, and equality, it would give me immense satisfaction to see accomplished women leaders coming on to a platform to mentor and nurture young and upcoming women leaders of the IT Industry,” she said adding that mentorship and coaching are the key enablers for accelerated growth.
HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum will consist of accomplished leaders from across the industry who will provide thought leadership and mentorship to young and upcoming women leaders of the IT/ITES Industry. The forum will also serve as a networking platform for women leaders and work towards create mentoring and counselling platforms, set targets to create leaders at different levels and continuously improve these numbers
over a period of time.
Bharani K Aroll, HYSEA President and Infopeers CEO, talked about how HYSEA focused and created interventions to improve opportunities for women to move into leadership positions within the industry. More than 1000+ women leaders from 200+ companies in the last 12 years under an exclusive woman focused Leadership Development Programme, he said.
Mamatha Madireddy, Centre Director – GSC Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Vizag, HSBC will be the first to lead the forum. Madireddy said, “Bridging the gender gap is a constant journey towards having an inclusive and balanced workforce. The ultimate goal is to reach a point where this is not even a topic to discuss.”
Manisha Saboo, AVP and Centre Head, Pocharam SEZ & Indore DC, Infosys and HYSEA treasurer will also play a role in the forum, a release said.
