In Telangana, the spirit of justice, equality, liberty and oneness prevailed when the state celebrated the 70th Constitution Day across its length and breadth. State Governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan has stressed the need for ensuring that the constitutional spirit reached younger Generation.
At an official programme held at Rajbhavan in Hyderabad, she said youngsters are not aware of the protection, rights and responsibilities that the Constitution of India provides to each and every citizen in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, she said just like the schemes and the projects initiated by the governments serve no purpose until they reach common man, the Constitution also does not serve purpose, until people of the country well aware of their rights, duties and responsibilities
towards the nation. She urged people to uphold the spirit of the Constitution and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the initiative for organising the Constitution Day.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked on the occasion people to rededicate them to the country and its constitution as the nation is yet to reach the aspirations of people. Chief Justice of the state High Court Raghavendra Singh Chouhan asked people, especially those from Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary to rededicate them for rebuilding the nation to achieve the constitutional goals.
The Constitution Day has also been observed at the State Assembly, Secretariat and all constitutional entities and government offices, including those in districts in the state.
