Telangana Govt Allocates 100 Acres for New High Court Complex in Rajendranagar

The state government has paved the way for the construction of a new High Court complex at Rajandarnagarm issuing an order allotting 100 acres of land in Rajendranagar for the purpose.

Soon after taking charge, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had met Chief Justice of Telangana High Court Justice Alok Aradhe and other judges and assured that the construction of a new High Court complex would be taken up.

He also assured that the existing buildings of the High Court will not be demolished but will be used for other purposes including the establishment of district courts.

The land allotted for the High Court complex belonged to Prof Jaishankar Telangana State Agricultural University and Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University and it falls



within the limits of Badvel and Premavatipet in Rajendranagar mandal.

Sources said that the state government allotted this land on the request of the law department and the Registrar General of the High Court.

According to sources, in this regard, the Rangareddy district collector and Chief Commissioner Land Administration were directed to identify land in Rajendranagar. They identified 100 acres of land while surveying various locations and submitted a report to the government.

Sources said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy preferred to repair buildings of historical importance instead of demolishing them and it has been decided to use the existing High Court buildings for other purposes as well.
