Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao reviewed the arrangements being undertaken for the upcoming World Congress on IT (WCIT), along with the Nasscom leadership team at Camp Office on Wednesday.
R Chandrasekhar, president Nasscom, BVR Mohan Reddy, founder & executive chairman, Cyient and CP Gurnani, MD and CEO, Tech Mahindra met the Minister as part of the Nasscom delegation.The Minister said that it is a matter of pride for Hyderabad city and Telangana State to host this prestigious IT conference. He said that all the State government agencies are already geared up to ensure smooth conduct of WCIT.

Nasscom leadership gave an overview of the conference and explained the preparatory work underway for WCIT.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited as the chief guest for this event. A confirmation from the PMO is being awaited. A host of dignitaries, including Ranil Wickremesinghe, PM of Sri Lanka, Union IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and ministers from Canada, China, Armenia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan would be participating in the WCIT. A host of top level executives from IT industry across the world would also attend the conference.
