The State government has released Rs 10 crore to hold the annual Bonalu festivities in twin cities on a grand note, said Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy here on Tuesday.

Speaking to mediapersons after reviewing arrangements for the colourful festival, the Minister said that the government has sanctioned Rs 5 crore last year but this time it has released Rs 10 crore.“We are leaving no stone



unturned in making arrangements for the convenience of devotees,” he said adding civic and other works would be taken up at temples with the funds released by the government.

Temples would be decked up on the occasion of festivities commencing from June 25 with ‘Thotela’ procession from Langer Houz crossroads to Sri Jagadamba Mahankali temple atop historic Golconda Fort.
