The State government will be distributing 4.5 lakh Ramzan gift packs at 815 mosques across the Telangana.
Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister, flagged off the first convoy of vehicles carrying the Ramzan gift packs to the masjids at the Haj House on Monday. Each mosque will be provided around 500 gift packets for distribution by the Telangana State Wakf Board which in turn will be given to the poor people after
identification.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Ali said the State government joins all communities in celebrating their festivals and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao personally monitors the distribution of Ramzan gift packs.
He also said the State government is taking all possible measures to contain the spread of the Covid and providing necessary medical and other assistance to the people affected by the pandemic.
