Telangana govt to extend 5% quota for disabled people

The TRS government on Tuesday decided to extend 5 per cent reservation in all welfare schemes for disabled people. Telangana is already implementing 3 per cent reservation for such people in jobs and



promotions.

Women and child welfare minister Tummala Nageswara Rao asked all welfare departments to provide 5 per cent quota in pensions, scholarships, fee reimbursement, marriage allowance, Aarogyasri health insurance, etc.
