Irrigation minister T Harish Rao on Sunday said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his cabinet ministers and collectors of 31 districts will soon start accepting complaints, applications and representations in Urdu to promote use of Urdu language in the government offices of Telangana.
The TRS government has set the process of recruiting 66 translators, who will help the CM, ministers and collectors in understanding and giving replies to letters received in
Urdu.
Stating that CM KCR has decided to give its due importance to the language, Harish Rao said as a first step the CM had declared Urdu as the second language of state in the assembly. Harish Rao said this after distributing 500 sewing machines to poor Muslim women in Sangareddy here on Sunday. In order to bring backward muslims out of poverty providing education by setting up residential schools is one of the steps TRS government is taking.
